Labor Day and It’s Great In Dayton!

Voyager I is the farthest human-made object from planet Earth and has a connection to Miamisburg as it is powered by technology developed there. Star City Brewing Company is celebrating this on Thursday, 5 to 8pm.
A Sense of Taste. Local restaurants provide samples from their menus including entrees, appetizers, and desserts. Enjoy live music and a cash bar. Local artists will feature their paintings and hand-made jewelry for purchase. This is to support Centerville-Washington History which is collecting and preserving the history of Centerville and Washington Township. Come out to Benham’s Grove on Thursday from 5 to 8pm.
Eric Jerardi has played in countless blues festivals, major concerts, and a myriad of other shows around the country for more than 20 years. H’s at the Levitt Pavillon on Thursday, 7pm.

“What is an Ombudsman?” Diane Welborn, Ombudsman, is talking about how the Joint Office of Citizen Complaints for Dayton and Montgomery County, investigates complaints about government agencies and services for residents. The Office also informs citizens about other helpful government programs. This is at the Woodbourne Library (6060 Far Hills in Centerville) on Friday, 2 to 3pm.
22nd Annual Egyptian Festival, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Shakespeare in South Park presents Tartuffe, or The Hypocrite, by Moliere. This comedy, written in 1664, will be set 3 centuries later in 1964. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray. Free but donations happily accepted. This is at South Park Green, Hickory Street at James on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8pm. Rain location Hope Lutheran Church, 500 Hickory Street, enter from the parking lot.
The last official First Friday of the DP&L Summer in the City season is Friday.
The Sanae/Braxton Collaborative—The Other Side, is a delicious blend of contemporary, chill and smooth jazz brewed up by these two label mates. This is at the Levitt Pavillon on Friday, 7pm.

The Avanti Owners International Meet is at the Marriott at the University of Dayton on Saturday, 4 to 7.
The first ever WYSO Listener Appreciation Concert has local favorites The Pullouts opening and then featuring Reverend Payton’s Big Damn Band. It’s at Levitt Pavilion on Saturday at 7pm.
