Cotton candy and sweet tea on ice.
Corn dogs and spinning rides all sound so nice.
All the fried food and bright flashing lights.
The midway and priceless people watching sights.
Demolition derby and goats in a barn.
Weird things old ladies still make out of yarn.
Admiring the things people sew bake and grow.
Blue ribbon winners lined up in a row.
Riding bikes to the tractor pull just sounds so right.
What better to do on a Saturday night?
Fun games of chance, you likely won’t win.
Yet my husband still tries again and again.
Feeling like a kid and having big fun.
Oh, big lemon shake ups, I can’t have just one.
Friends coming to town, we think they would love it.
Begging for free stuff? Nope, I’m not above it.
These things and more, we’d sure love to see.
