Put together a team of four and join us for a 9-hole, 10-bar miniature golf outing to raise money for local kids & adults with disabilities!

We have 10 bars participating this year including Rip Rap Roadhouse, Little York Tavern, Submarine House – Vandalia, Wing’s Sports Bar & Grille, Irish Club, Bolts Sports Cafe, Spitfire, Oscar’s, Hinders and Tony’s Bada-Bing.

Gem City Roller Derby Open Recruitment

Open Recruitment is to welcome brand new skating athletes, skating officials (referees), and non-skating officials (NSOs) to the wonderful world of women’s flat track roller derby!

Skaters should be able to stand, roll, and stride on quad skates (you can get even more practice in during public skating sessions). Interested recruits do NOT need any derby skills or knowledge because we’ll teach you those!

Make a visit to the MetroParks Ice Rink part of your family Christmas tradition and skate to holiday music under the pavilion.

 

Admission fee: $6 daily
Ice skate rental: $2 daily
Skaters ages 3 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult.

For current rink status, please call the ice rink at (937) 278-2607.
During periods of severe or uncooperative weather, the ice rink may not be open.

Learn To Curl

Come out and learn curling with the crew from Curl Troy, celebrating their 10th year as your curling club in The Miami Valley. This session is an introductory session and no experience is required. All you need is to have a clean pair of tennis shoes, comfortable clothing, and be ready to have fun. Each Learn to Curl Session will take you out on the ice where you will learn the basic rules of the game, learn how to throw a stone, learn how and why to sweep a stone, and some simple strategy as well.

Sloth Tai Chi

Get inspired by the balance, strength, pace, and flexibility of everyone’s favorite Discovery Zoo resident: Patience! Join us for an introductory Tai Chi class that will begin with an introduction to our Linne’s two-toed sloth, followed by a 45-minute beginner class.

Program Fee: $30 for members ($35 for nonmembers)

Class size is limited to 20 participants, and reservations are required. The class is appropriate for novices, but all registrants must be 16 years of age or older.
