Dayton Germanfest Picnic Announces New Location

February 22, 2017 By Lisa Grigsby

The Dayton Germanfest Picnic is excited to announce that its new venue is RiverScape MetroPark in downtown Dayton. “We received over 30 suggestions of new locations from all over the Miami Valley,” explained Chairperson John Koerner, “but because of the 127-year connection of our sponsor, the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner, with the downtown area, we really wanted to keep it in Dayton proper if at all possible. A survey conducted on our Facebook page showed that RiverScape MetroPark was by far the most popular choice. Dayton Celtic Fest and other festivals have put RiverScape MetroPark on the map as Dayton’s favorite spot to celebrate, and we look forward to building on that tradition, and infusing it with our own special German ambience – we call it Gemütlichkeit.”

Photo provided by Theresa Gasper

When the Liederkranz received word that Carillon Park would no longer be available for the Germanfest Picnic, Val Hunt Beerbower and Sandy Gudorf from the Downtown Dayton Partnership were among the first to contact us to offer to help us find a new location. The Partnership helped us meet with the folks at Five Rivers MetroParks, who have been a joy to work with. The rest, as they say, is history.

The new location will allow for future growth of the Germanfest Picnic, starting with extended hours this year for the Germanfest Picnic – 5-11 p.m on Friday, August 11, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, with a Polka Mass at 10 a.m.

The Germanfest 5K and 10K will have a new route this year, and has been moved to Saturday morning, August 12 at 9:00 a.m.  Registration information is available at www.keysports.net.

The Dayton Liederkranz Turner is most grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support we have received from the Dayton community this past couple months, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Germanfest Picnic’s new home at RiverScape MetroPark for its 34th edition on August 11, 12 and 13. A full range of sponsorship, marketing, and publicity opportunities are available.

There’s A New Chinese Buffet Downtown!

February 22, 2017 By Lisa Grigsby

I’ve been missing the Chinese restaurant at the corner of First and Main that shut down after a kitchen fire a couple of years ago.  But that void has now been filled- Liu Garden has opened in that same spot!  Officially their dress is 210 N. Main St and they are on the first floor of the Biltmore Towers.  The inside looks pretty much exactly the same, the food was freshly prepared when we visited on Monday and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Serving a lunch buffet Monday through Friday  from 11am -3pm for just  $6.95 – $7.42 with tax.  While the buffet isn’t huge, you can choose from a couple of soups, egg rolls, crab rangoon,  a nice mix of entrees and of course a fortune cookie comes with each meal.  You can always order from the menu if you prefer.  They will be open nightly until 9:30pm and Saturday’s from 10am – 10pm and closed on Sunday.  And yes, they do deliver!

Call (937) 228-6666 to place your order.

The Temptations & The Four Tops Coming To The Rose

February 21, 2017 By Lisa Grigsby

The Temptations are teaming up with The Four Tops for a not-to-be-missed co-headline show at Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, OH on Friday, June 30th.

For more than fifty years, The Temptations have prospered, propelling popular music with a series of smash hits, and sold-out performances throughout the world.

The history of The Temptations is the history of contemporary American pop. An essential component of the original Motown machine, The Temps began their musical life in Detroit in the early sixties. It wasn’t until 1964 however, that the Smokey Robinson written-and-produced “The Way You Do The Things You Do” turned the guys into stars. An avalanche of hits followed, “My Girl”, “It’s Growing”, “Since I Lost My Baby”, “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”, “Beauty Is only Skin Deep”, and “I Wish It Would Rain”, just to name a few.

The classic lineup was Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Paul Williams, Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin. Beyond the fabulous singing, The Temps became known for smooth stepping and flawless presentations. The Temptations Walk became a staple of American style. Flair, flash and class. Millions of fans saw their Temptations as cultural heroes.

No matter the change in personnel, The Temptations remain true to The Temptations tradition. They survived the whims of fashion, whether disco or techno, and stuck to their guns. The current lineup consists of: Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Larry Braggs, Willie Greene Jr.

The Four Tops,  quartet, originally called the Four Aims, made their first Motown hit, “Baby I Need Your Loving” in 1964, made them stars and their sixties track record on the label is indispensable to any retrospective of the decade.

Their songs, soulful and bittersweet, were across-the-board successes. “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” a no. 1 R&B and Pop smash in 1965, is one of Motown’s longest-running chart toppers; “It’s The Same Old Song” (no. 2 R&B/no. 5 pop), no. 1 “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Standing In The Shadows Of Love” (no. 2 R&B/no. 6 pop) and “Bernadette” (no. 3 R&B/no. 4 pop). Other Tops hits include “Ask The Lonely,” “Shake Me, Wake Me (When It’s Over),” “Something About You,” “You Keep Running Away,” “7-Rooms Of Gloom” and many more.

“The Four Tops will always be one of the biggest and the best groups ever. Their music is forever.” – Smokey Robinson

Tickets for the Huber Heights show, $57.00*, $50.00*, $40.00*, and $23.50* will go on sale to the public beginning 11:00am on Friday, February 24th at www.Ticketmaster.com, www.Rosemusiccenter.com, and the Rose Music Center box office. Charge by phone at 1.800.745.3000. *Ticket prices include parking and are subject to applicable Ticketmaster fees.  Dates, times and artists subject to change without notice.

Dog Therapy Helps Kids Read

February 20, 2017 By Lisa Grigsby

Last week NPR released a story about “How Reading Aloud to Therapy Dogs Can Help Struggling Kids.”  It really resonated with me.  Here are the highlights of the story:

While many people are familiar with therapeutic pets and how they can help lift up people’s spirits, bringing them into the classroom might sound far-fetched. How can a therapy pet possibly teach children the life lessons of kindness and empathy? Can a pet really alter the way that students feel about learning?

Educational therapist Rebecca Barker Bridges believed that a dog could help students feel more confident about learning, and so she adopted Stanley, a golden retriever.

Pets are very nonjudgmental, and their calming presence distills stressful situations,” Bridges says. “For children who feel insecure about their capacity to do things like reading, therapy pets bolster their self-confidence, which reduces their anxiety.”

“Students feel self-conscious about reading because they’re afraid of being judged by students and teachers if they don’t do a ‘good job.’ But Stanley dismantles this fear for them. He makes learning joyful,” says Bridges.

After reading this I though wouldn’t this be great way to help our Dayton area students!  Then yesterday as I was scrolling through Facebook I find this post on Bill Franz’s Dayton at Work and Play and realize Dayton’s already got this going on.

At Wright Memorial Public Library recently I saw children reading aloud to Riley and another dog. I asked Riley’s owner Lesley Neufeld how Riley had gotten that job.

“Riley is a certified Animal Assisted Therapy dog trained at Dogtors Animal-assisted Therapy” Leslie said. “The training was 10 weeks during which time the professional trainers test the dog/handler teams for aptitude and temperament, instruct us on various topics, observe us in role playing exercises, and put each team through a practical test, plus a written exam for the handler. Dogs must already be obedience trained coming into the program.”

“Riley and I did some visiting at Hospice of Dayton and an assisted living residence, but he is such a natural with kids that we only do reading now. We go to Wright Library, Centerville Library and Parkwood School in Beavercreek. There is no scientific evidence on reading dogs, but there are theories about kids getting over their fear of reading aloud because of the calming, non-judgmental presence of a dog.”

Just one more of the many positive, cool things Dayton has going on.  So proud of our Region and all those who make a difference in such a caring way!

MCL Cafeteria: Not Just for Granny Anymore

February 17, 2017 By Dayton937 Leave a Comment

MCL Cafeteria, Not just for Grandma Anymore

“Hey you wanna join us for dinner?”

–Yeah sure…

“Ok meet us over at MCL Cafeteria..”

–MCL???? What ??

Yes it’s true.  There is a young movement underway.  Slowly, but surely, the nation’s seniors are sharing their well kept secret.  What secret?  They know that the

From Coconut Cream Pie to Pumpkin Pie, the desserts are where it’s at

food at MCL Cafeteria is actually pretty decent !  Sure it is a chain and we at Food Adventures conquer the local local local… but damn, Sam, take a lookie here.  Yes, there are walkers, people with dentures and mostly soft food.  But the comfort food is reminiscent of home made, family get-together dinners.

So, it is basically a senior place, and it is pretty cool .. think of it as “a Grandpa who uses SnapChat.”  You wanna hang out with that guy.  So is the case here.  This is no metamucil Food Adventure.

HERE’S THE SKINNY on MCL CAFETERIA:

See the colors of the rainbow on the assembly line of MCL Cafeteria

—In 1950, in Indianapolis, Charles McGaughey and George Laughner founded the first MCL Cafeteria. They took the first letters of their last names, hence the name MCL.

—The Dayton area MCL Cafeteria is located at 4485 Far Hills Ave, Kettering

—With 16 locations in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, their website says they maintain a family owned and operated company.

Roast Beef ready to be Carved

—They use local produce when in season, and offer catering, and have a special section for “to-go” orders, which is really busy.

—Their hours are shorter, because Granny needs her beauty sleep.  They close at 8:30pm. They open everyday at 11am, except Sundays which is 10:30am.

—You walk in and in assembly line fashion, get a tray, and pick your food “a la carte.”

—The daily deal is the “Blue Plate Special” is $8.95 and includes an entree and 2 sides, typically.  That’s blue plate, not blue hair special…

Salads and Fruits offered

With an empty tray and so many choices, what are you gonna do?  What are you going to get? Grandpa is nudging you in the ribs with his cane, to keep you moving along….  From our numerous trips over the past year to MCL, we got you covered with our patented “MUST EATS!”

She’s My Cherry Pie !

MUST EATS at MCL CAFETERIA:

—THE PIES:
These are the highlight of the assembly line and placed at the end for good reason.  From Cherry Pie made with Michigan cherries to Chocolate Cream Pie.  Even the Peach Pie and Pecan Pie with fresh Georgia Pecans make outstanding choices.  Even better than that, they are delicious.  When in doubt, grab a piece of pie to guarantee a happy ending at MCL Cafeteria.

—THE FRIED WHOLE CATFISH:
These babies are dipped in milk and covered with

Fried Catfish – one of our faves at MCL

seasoned cornmeal.  After frying, these crispy Louisiana fish give you a crunch, then melt in your mouth feeling.  The tartar sauce for dipping is the perfect finishing touch. Big Ragu’s Favorite !

—SWISS VEAL:
When they say “try the veal,” they really mean it this time.  A fried veal cutlet, covered with Swiss cheese, then covered with a white

Swiss Veal – a cult favorite at MCL

gravy.  Probably one of the better choices, like many of these plates, it has that homemade, family feel, close to that of Thanksgiving.

—SALISBURY STEAK:
A good looking chopped steak, grilled up nice and juicy, then covered in gravy.  May we suggest mashed potatoes to take you back to your childhood?  Corn for the closer?  Sometimes the sides make all the difference in the entree.

—ACORN SQUASH SIDE:

The best side at MCL Cafeteria is the Acorn Squash

If you see this side, stop the line abruptly and grab one.  What a great deal this deliciously baked veggie is, with a buttery syrup juice in the cavity inside.   This is heaven on earth and a definite MUST EAT !

—FRIED CHICKEN:
One of the kings of comfort food, MCL serves it up golden brown with all the fixings. This is possibly their most popular item. Again the comfort food and southern feel of this entree with the sides, will have you dreaming of old family dinner days.

Chicken Parm

—CHICKEN PARMESAN:
A fresh chicken breast, hand-breaded with seasoned crumbs from their bakery, fried to the perfect shade of golden brown. They top it with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. Served with pasta and topped with more marinara sauce (optional).

HONORABLE MENTION:
The Salads
are very good, and nice and fresh.  Also, the dinner rolls are amazing, with a dab of butter.  They have a variety of side breads to choose from, all made in their on-site bakery.

Fresh Salads

So now you know about the food, he on-site bakery and the glowing clientele, you may see MCL Cafeteria in a different light.  Give it a visit for your own family Food Adventure.  Kids love the assembly line and the looks and smells.  MCL is also a great place if you are alone and want a quick in and out dinner or lunch.  It is not cheap dining, and by the time you get a drink and dessert or bread side, you’re looking at $15-$17 per person, so be fair warned.  But the food is worth it.

The long walk to the cafeteria assembly line

This place isn’t just for grandparents anymore.  You cannot deny that they have some great home made items on the menu.  It is homestyle cooking the whole group can enjoy.  We are starting to notice more and more young people at the cafeteria.

What time do the 90 year olds go, typically?  Depends…

Want more fun spin on local eateries?  Visit Food Adventures on Facebook by clicking here.  The Food Adventure Crew consists of the Big Ragu, Chef House, and Hungry Jax.  Bringing you perspectives of local food from a foodie bachelor’s, a locally obsessed professional chef and an Italian mom’s point of view.  Original events, photos, website and classes are just some of what we offer.

Dive Bar Thursday – Double Deuce

February 16, 2017 By Brian Petro

Double Deuce Bar

Welcome to the Double Deuce!

There are times, when searching for a dive bar to visit, that doing the research makes you think twice about heading there. Then you tell people where you are planning to go, and they give you questioning looks and wish you luck. Not so much for the bar, but for the neighborhood you are entering. Fortunately, the group of people assembled for the task are intrepid adventurers and really relaxed people. Driving to the Double Deuce on a Friday night, we really had no idea what to expect. What we found shocked us all! That is a good hook, right?

The Double Deuce Bar and Pizza Place is an amazing discovery on this tour. They are Tackle-level supporters of the Dayton Area Rugby Club, one of the first things you notice when you get to the bar. The bar is not brightly lit, but you can tell it is different. It is clean. And not in a “clean for a dive bar” way. It is clearly, and proudly, well kept by the staff. Even the food prep area, which is in clear view of the entire bar, is organized and ready for a busy night. They have multiple dart boards and pool tables, with the option for playing some corn hole if the weather permits. Or if you feel the need, you can arm wrestle at their arm wrestling table. Maybe that is how you figure out who gets to choose what is being played on the juke box. That jukebox has a wide range; when we walked in it was country, and when we left it was old school hip hop. There is a little something for everyone here, even if you bring the family. The party does not really start until 9 PM on most nights, giving you plenty of time to stop in for a bite to eat with the kids.

One does not come to the Double Deuce looking for bar food. They have a menu that is growing all the time. Right now you can get a good sized pizza, subs, and their brand new wings. The next evolution to the food menu is going to be a full kitchen. They are planningDouble Deuce Pizza on expanding the building over the course of the year, and that kitchen is going to be part of it. The pizza we had was delightful. Whatever spices they are adding to it, they should keep it up. There were plenty of toppings, from the more traditional pepperoni and sausage to black olives and jalapeno peppers. After a few beers, that pizza was just what we needed.
Craft beer bars are popping up in Dayton at a steady rate. If the thought of drinking a macro beer makes you flinch, you may want to stay away from the Deuce. There was not a craft beer to be seen. The craftiest thing they had was Guinness. The same can be said about the liquor selection. It is a solid selection; they are going to have the spirit you are seeking. They just may not have the small batch version you are expecting. The ladies behind the stick know how to make a drink. Each one of them has their specialty, and they are good at their craft. Head in different nights of the week to see which one is right for you.

Was the arm wrestling table a little different to hear? The surprises did not stop there. They have a party bus! It is a renovated school bus with bench seats that you can rent for special occasions. We mentioned renovations before. It
sounds like this year is going to be a big one at the Double Deuce. They are going to be making improvements to almost every area of the building, from adding more space for seating to expanding their already impressive patio. This new space will give them new opportunities for events, which they host on a regular basis. One of their events, a motorcycle ride they host every year, collects toys and cash for children in need. Last year, they donated thousands of dollars’ worth of toys to children in need. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Other changes are surely in the works, but we are all going to have to wait and see what they will be!

The trepidation about heading to the Double Deuce was completely unfounded. The staff we spoke with were amazingly friendly, as were some of the patrons. It was a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We could see why people would recommend trekking a little off the beaten path to visit them. Nestled in a developing Dayton neighborhood, this is a place worth checking out before the rest of the city beats a path to its door.

The Double Deuce is located at 17 Brandt Pike, Dayton, OH, 45404. It is open 10:30 AM to 2:30 AM Monday through Friday, and 11 AM to 2:30 AM Saturday and Sunday. They can be contacted at (937) 220-9624, or through their Facebook page.

Local Women Set To Bring Adaptation Of “The Vagina Monologues” To The Stage

February 15, 2017 By Dayton Most Metro

It’s hard to imagine what was going through author Eve Ensler’s mind on October 3, 1996.

Standing front and center on the HERE Arts Center stage in New York City, Ensler performed an episodic play she wrote titled The Vagina Monologues.  The show was supposed to be centered on interviews Ensler conducted with over two hundred women; questions were primarily on sex and relationships.  As Ensler got deeper into her conversations with these women, she began hearing horrific stories on sexual abuse and violence.  What was originally Ensler’s vision- to “celebrate the vagina” – The Vagina Monologues has become a movement to stop the senseless violence against women around the world.

On February 18-20, the women of the Black Box Improv Theater in downtown Dayton will be added to the list of those who will have performed the award-winning play.  How to show goes is each member will step onto the stage and present an already prepared monologue.  The subject matter will contain stories that involve love and sex, but also heavier subjects (rape, female genital mutilation) as well.

The women’s participation of this show is also in support of V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and to support local organizations.  “This is an important issue for everyone. An average of three women are murdered every day due to domestic violence.  I think we can all agree that violence against women and girls must stop,” said Black Box performer Libby Scancarello, who is producing and directing the show.  “I’ve produced this event twice before to raise money for local organizations. I am happy to be presenting it again with the women of this theater, who are so talented and diverse.”

For the local adaptation of The Vagina Monologues, all of the proceeds will be going to The Family Abuse Shelter of Miami County, Inc.  Established in 1979, the shelter helps provide assistance for any woman man, with or without children, who lack a safe, stable place to live.  Victims of sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, along with homeless individuals and families are offered immediate housing and protection.  “We’re grateful for Libby and this team of women,” said Barbara Holman, Director of the Family Abuse Shelter of Miami County. “The women, men, and children we serve will benefit in critical ways from the proceeds of this show.”

Seventeen years later – internationally performed, along with a television version produced by HBO – Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues has become and still continues to be one of the most powerful plays ever.  With the women of the Black Box Improv Theater’s show, it should be undoubtedly become a staple each year.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at daytonblackbox.com. There are three showtimes to choose from:

  • Saturday, February 18, 2pm

  • Sunday, February 19, 8pm

  • Monday, February 20, 8pm

The Black Box Improv Theater is located at 518 E 3rd St, Dayton, OH 45402.

FilmDayton invites you to make your Oscar Predictions!

February 13, 2017 By Film Dayton

And the Oscar goes to…

Will the night belong to “Moonlight” or “La La Land”? With 14 nominations, “La La Land” has tied the Oscar nominations record with “All About Eve” and “Titanic.” Will the movie musical sweep the ceremony, matching or surpassing the Oscar record of 11 wins (by “Ben-Hur,” “Titanic” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”)? While unlikely, it’s possible. “La La Land” also breaks other records. It’s the first musical with original music and story to receive a Best Picture nomination since 1979’s “All That Jazz” and 1945’s “Anchors Aweigh.” Ai-Ling Lee and Mildred Iatrou Morgan are the first female team to be nominated for Sound Editing for the film.

You can help support FilmDayton by filling out your online ballot and making a $20 donation to be in the running for our grand prize.

The ballot with the most correct answers will win a 24″ Samsung ‘Smart’ Flat screen TV, compatible Blue Ray DVD player, and a selection of Oscar Winning movies/or films featuring Oscar winners. In the case of a tie, winning ballots will be placed in a box and one winner will randomly drawn. We’ll announce our winner at FilmDayton’s Oscar Watch Party being held at the Historic Plaza Theatre located at 33 S Main St, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. It’s free to join us to watch the Oscars, but we do request you reserve a ticket online, to make sure we’ll have enough seats for all. The concession stand will be open, we’ll have Oscar Bingo Cards for sale and a raffle to support the works of FilmDayton.

Over the past 25 years, the winner of the “feature film” category at the Directors Guild awards went on to win the Academy Award for best director 21 times. A perennial favorite to watch, Best Actress category once again looks like it’ll be competitive. A surprise win at the Golden Globes put Isabelle Huppert back in the conversation just as it looked like Natalie Portman would be dueling Emma Stone for the prize. Stone’s wins at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts have made her the clear leader. The Screen Actors Guild’s choice for best actor has gone on to win at the Academy Awards 18 out of the past 22 years, so that’s the show to watch. Casey Affleck has been cleaning up at the critics awards, but any category with Denzel Washington in it is far from decided.

So whether you’ve seen all the films nominated or not, do a little online research and fill out your ballot online!

Rock icon Rob Zombie will make a stop in Huber Heights, OH this summer at Rose Music Center on Wednesday, July 12th.

As a rock icon and filmmaker with a unique vision, Zombie has continuously challenged audiences as he stretches the boundaries of both music and film. He has sold more than fifteen million albums worldwide, and is the only artist to experience unprecedented success in both music and film as the writer/director of seven feature films.

Rob Zombie has achieved great success as a solo artist with several multi-platinum and gold albums including Hellbilly Deluxe, The Sinister Urge and Educated Horses. In 2013, the seven-time GRAMMY® nominee released his fifth solo album, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, on his Zodiac Swan label through T-Boy Records/UMe.  The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and spawned two Top 10 Active Rock singles, “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town” and Zombie’s spin on Grand Funk Railroad’s anthem “We’re An American Band.”

In terms of his film career, Zombie’s Halloween, released in 2007, earned the No. 1 spot at the box office in its opening weekend, and his first two films House of 1,000 corpses and The Devil’s Rejects have become cult favorites among critics and fans.

Rob Zombie’s first concert film, The Zombie Horror Picture Show, released in 2015 by Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/UMe, held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Music DVD chart for two consecutive weeks. Recorded live over two sizzling nights in Texas, The Zombie Horror Picture Show captures Zombie’s elaborate, multi-media production of mind-blowing SFX, animatronic robots, pyrotechnics, oversized LED screens and state-of-the-art light show combined with his powerhouse band featuring John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish.

In April 2016, Zombie released of his 6th studio album, The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. Produced by Zeuss, it was recorded and mixed at Goathouse Studios. A full return to form by the rock icon, The Electric Warlock… features John 5 (Guitar), Piggy D (Bass) and Ginger Fish (Drums).

The Beach Boys & The Righteous Brothers at The Rose

February 13, 2017 By Dayton Most Metro

The Beach Boys will return to Huber Heights, OH at Rose Music Center on Friday, July 28th with special guest The Righteous Brothers.

You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold.  But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys.  To be sure, this band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions.  But its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt.

Happily for us all, The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 50 years ago. Their 2013 Capitol Records release, Sounds of Summer (RIAA certified triple platinum with over three million in sales and climbing), and it’s companion The Warmth of the Sun marked a resurgence in Beach Boys interest that has again rocked the world.

Grammy-winning songwriter Bruce Johnston, [Barry Manilow’s “I Write the Songs”], joined The Beach Boys in 1965, replacing Glenn Campbell, who filled-in for Brian Wilson, on vocals/bass, when he retired from touring.

The Beach Boys are founding member Boy Mike Love (lead vocals) and Beach Boy-vet Bruce Johnston (vocals/keyboards)—Jeffrey Foskett (guitar/vocals), Brian Eichenburger (bass/vocals), Tim Bonhomme (keyboards/vocals), John Cowsill of The Cowsills (percussion /vocals) and Scott Totten (guitar/vocals) round out the band.

Tickets for the Huber Heights show, $62.00*, $52.00*, $47.00*, and $23.50* will go on sale to the public beginning 11:00am on Friday, February 17th at www.Ticketmaster.com, www.Rosemusiccenter.com, the Rose Music Center box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.  Charge by phone at 1.800.745.3000. *Ticket prices include parking and are subject to applicable Ticketmaster fees.  Dates, times and artists subject to change without notice.
