TikTok Hack Inspires New Chipotle Menu Option

February 28, 2023 By Dayton937

TikTok creator Alexis Frost first reviewed a Chipotle Steak Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies in late 2022, dubbing it a perfect “10” for her 2.4 million followers. In the week following Alexis and Keith’s videos, Chipotle said it saw more than 30.6 million views, 3.7 million likes, 47,200 comments, and 69,500 shares of viral TikTok content about the Steak Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies.

Chipotle.com has announced the Fajita Quesadilla will be available starting on March 2 via digital ordering channels. The menu item features “Chipotle Quesadillas with Monterey Jack cheese, their protein of choice (steak, chicken, barbacoa, carnitas or sofritas) and fresh fajita veggies.” Chipotle said customers can also add honey vinaigrette dressing as a side option for all quesadillas starting in March. Unlike in the early days when quesadilla’s weren’t officially on the menu and came wrapped in aluminum foil, the quesadilla now comes in its own tray with three side compartments for dips.

The Rose announces Santana, Skid Row and Straight No Chaser Shows

February 28, 2023 By Dayton937

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Carlos Santana has announced he will hit the road with his band across North America this summer for the 1001 Rainbows Tour. Stops include Huber Heights, Ohio for a performance at Rose Music Center on Tuesday, June 27. Throughout, Santana will perform high-energy, passion-filled songs from their fifty-year career, including fan favorites from Woodstock to Supernatural and beyond.

Delivered with a level of passion and soul equal to the legendary sonic charge of his guitar, the sound of Carlos Santana is one of the world’s best-known musical signatures. For more than five decades – from Santana’s earliest days as a ground-breaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco – Carlos Santana has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries.

Hot on the heels of their Spring co-headline ‘The Gang’s All Here’ tour, Skid Row and Buckcherry are thrilled to announce a second leg of dates consisting of 14 additional shows!  The two bands will be hitting the road for the first run on March 9 with performances ramping up again for the fall starting on August 31. The tour will continue throughout the month of September, stopping in Huber Heights, OH for a performance at Rose Music Center on Wednesday, September 6.

Skid Row recently released their 6th studio album, The Gang’s All Here, in October of 2022. Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, the album reached Top 20 chart positions in nine countries worldwide. The band also completed a tour of the U.K. and Europe this fall, as well as a Las Vegas residency with rock icons, the Scorpions this past spring. Fans can get the new album HERE!

This past year, Buckcherry completed a 238-show tour in support of their latest album Hellbound, released in June of 2021. The band also just finished recording their 10th studio album in Nashville with producer Marti Frederiksen. The album is scheduled for a June 2023 release.

Dig out your deck shoes: RIAA-certified Gold a cappella group Straight No Chaser will set sail this summer on “The Yacht Rock Tour,” sparking sing-alongs to classic 80s songs of summer throughout the US.

Kicking off in Vienna, VA, the voyage winds its way through the US, docking in Huber Heights, OH for a performance at Rose Music Center on Saturday, July 1.  Chart-topping yacht rock pioneers Ambrosia(“How Much I Feel,” “Biggest Part Of Me,” “You’re The Only Woman,” and “Holdin’ On To Yesterday”) will join as support.

In addition to the tour, Straight No Chaser will release a full-length album, Yacht On The Rocks, a trove of yacht rock classics, on June 23.  Produced by Nicholas Niespodziani, singer, guitarist, and spiritual leader of Yacht Rock Revue, the album will include classics like “Escape (The Piña Colada Song),” “Sailing,” and “After The Love Has Gone.” The first single, a reworking of Kenny Loggins’ “Heart to Heart,” is set for release March 10.

“What could possibly sound more like summer than yacht rock?” said group member Steve Morgan.  “We can’t wait to hit the road and celebrate the season of leisure with our fans.  Grab a frozen beverage and beat the heat with us, reliving the decade of cool tunes and smooth sailing.”

Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning at 10am on Friday, March 3 for all three of these shows  at Ticketmaster.com and RoseMusicCenter.com.

The Gallery’s Visiting Artist of the Month is Sarah Wrona who is no stranger to Front Street having her own studio located in building 200 called the Glass Station. Wrona is not only a multi-talented artist who works in glass and alcohol inks, but she also creates jewelry, welded metal sculptures, found object sculptures and crocheted items. Sarah will have a selection of her fused glass dishes, jewelry, and crocheted scarves on display and for sale at the gallery this month.  Come meet both artists and see their finely executed body of work 1st Friday, March 3rd from 5-9pm, or 3rd Sunday, March 19th from 12-4pm.

Lenten Menus have O-Fish-Ally Begun

February 24, 2023 By Dayton937

Lent officially began on Ash Wednesday and restaurants have release menus catering to practicing Christians who load up on seafood dishes for the season
For those unfamiliar, Lent is the six-week period between Ash Wednesday and Easter during which many Christians abstain from eating meat on the holy days of obligation and Fridays. Traditionally, it has marked a period or reflection, fasting and penitence, with many giving up specific things in the weeks leading up to the Easter holiday.

For years, McDonald’s has been a popular Lent option for its Filet-O-Fish sandwich, and now more competitors are wading in.
